• Sound City is an annual music festival and music industry conference held in Liverpool, focusing on showcasing emerging artists and supporting new music through panels, workshops, and live shows. We’re also a training provider for young people, and full-service events solution.

  • Sound City+ Conference takes place on 1st May 2026 across various venues in Liverpool City Centre.

    Sound City Festival takes place on 2-3 May 2026 across various venues in Liverpool City Centre.

  • Tickets can be purchased via SeeTickets.

    We offer the following ticket types:

    • Conference + Festival Weekend (full access to Sound City conference and festival across 1-3 May 2026)

    • Festival Weekend (access to all festival venues over 2-3 May 2026)

    • Festival Day (access to all festival venues on 2nd May OR 3rd May 2026, valid for the chosen day only)

    • Conference Delegate Pass (full access to all venues, panels, showcases and networking on 1st May 2026)

    • Accessibility Companion Tickets (click here for more info)

    Tickets may be available to purchase at the Box Office over the weekend, but will always be cheaper online and in advance.

  • Age restrictions in venues vary:

    • Main Stage, Grand Central: 16+

    • Arts Club: 14+

    • Other venues: 18+

    All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

    A valid government ID is required for entry.

    Venues operate a Challenge 25 policy.

  • Sound City is a multi-venue festival in Liverpool City Centre. Each venue has varying levels of disability access, and as such we cannot guarantee that the event will be entirely accessible.

  • Prohibited items include weapons, illegal drugs, drones, professional video equipment, BBQs, glass, and your own food and drink inside venues.

    Each venue may have varying prohibited items, so it is recommended to enquire with venues directly ahead of the weekend.

  • We always recommend our Official Food Partner since 2022, Bundobust, for their unreal Indian veggie street food, and their huge selection of proper ale. And you didn’t hear it from us… but there’s usually loads of secret sets and special surprises in there over the weekend!     Sound City is located in Liverpool City Centre, so there is a huge selection of restaurants, cafés, shops and more for you to grab a bite.

    Our venues are the beating pulse of Liverpool City Centre, so if you’re up for a drink, they’re always the best shout.

  • The Conference and Festival schedules are published via Gigseekr, the official festival app. Schedules usually go live approximately seven days before the weekend.

  • Absolutely! Our volunteers are family to us, and many have gone onto paid work here at Sound City and beyond.
