Ben Wynter is a UK based music and media executive with twenty years of experience
in the music industry, including roles in A&R, delivering events in partnership with the
Mayor of London and Downing Street and founding the talent management company
Unstoppable Music Group, home to Grammy Award nominated producer Mario
Winans. Wynter is also Co-Founder of Power up! The initiative set up to address anti- Black racism and disparities within the UK music sector.

Founder of Unstoppable Music Group, Ben Wynter worked his way up through the music
industry ranks. Before the age of 22, Wynter worked with the Sony Records Street Team,
interned for Chris Rockin New York, and worked as an A&R at Sanctuary Records.
In 2004 Wynter worked on the Urban Music Seminar. Co-hosted by Damon Dash and
Roc-a-fella Records, the seminar was the largest urban event of its kind in Europe
drawing an eager crowd of over 15,000 young people in two days that craved a desire to
lean more about the creative industries from top professionals.

Alongside DKG/Coast Music, Wynter worked the project management for soul singer
Rhian Benson, paving the way for her to win numerous awards including a prestigious
MOBOaward in 2005. Wynter also oversaw the release of former Three Degrees singer
Sheila Ferguson's debut solo album release A New Kind of Medicine during this period.
In 2007 Wynter launched Origins Media connecting corporate and government
organizations with the ever-popular youth market. The highlight of which being

commissioned to organize the London Week of Peace flagship event at Trafalgar Square
which saw more than 13,000 young people attend and take a stand for peace in London.
The event was so successful, that Wynter was invited to Downing Street where then
Prime Minister Gordon Brown personally thanked him for his contribution to the
promotion of peace in London.

In 2009 Wynter returned to the music industry. Wynter’s first Client Jaya was signed to
Universal Records and as such became the first British Indian female to be signed to a
major label in the UK this Millennium. Wynter also went on to work with the highly
successful Manchester based trio Platnum who scored a number 2 hit in 2009 with their
single “Whats It Gonna Be” and songwriter Charlotte Kelly who scored a UK Number
1, writing the topline for the Roll Deep single Good Times.

Wynter has worked with the PRS Foundation where he managed the industry funds
programme’s and budgets, providing more the £1million in grants funding and increasing
the percentage of ethnic, regional and female identifying grantees. Wynter also formed
partnerships with Spotify and launched the Hitmaker fund which is the only fund of its
kind in the UK to support behind the scenes songwriters and producers with grant
funding.

Currently Wynter works with A.I.M (Association of Independent Music) as
Entrepreneurship & Outreach Manager where he helps music entrepreneurs and rights
holders to navigate the music and media ecosystem to maximise the potential in the rights
that they own.

In 2020 as a response to the Black Lives Matter uprising Wynter Co-Founded Power Up!
Power Up! is an ambitious, long-term initiative designed and steered with over 80 Black
music professionals, aimed at supporting 40 Black music creators and industry
professionals per year with grants and industry-wide support as well as addressing anti- Black racism and disparities in the music sector.

Most recently Wynter has been working with pop songstress Chantelle Lee, R&B artist
Verose, legendary artist, songwriter and producer Mario Winans and synch award
nominated producers Dot Inc.
