'Swimming In Mud, a bold introduction ' - Alan Raw, BBC Introducing

Unraveling a personal sense of reality, Thomas Harvey is a British singer/songwriter, whose emotive blend of alt-pop and electronic sounds deliver individualism through eloquent lyrical themes. A multi-instrumentalist (Keyboard, Guitar, Voice), his contemporary technique of lap-tapping the guitar gained him a following after the debut of a series of live YouTube videos in 2011. Harvey is greatly influenced by artists including Ry X, Banks and Nick Murphy, particularly after living abroad within the Australian music scene.

Raised in Kentish English countryside, Harvey wrote his first song in school at the age of 11, continuing on through his teens in themes of love and social angst. Presently based in Leeds, Harvey made the move up north to study at the Leeds College of Music, developing a supporting live collective for his performances and supporting artists including Tom Speight & Nell Bryden at venues such as the Belgrave and the Deaf Institute. His debut single, ‘Swimming In Mud’ was released June 1st, 2017 with support from BBC Introducing and his debut EP is scheduled for release in 2018.
