Formed in Bristol by lead singer and songwriter Gina Leonard and guitarist/producer Tom Fryer, THE DESERT first came to the world's attention in June 2017 with the release of their haunting debut single 'Just Get High'. Its release gained immediate attention and received praise and airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 and Radio X. This and the further praise for their follow up EP allowed the band to develop into a fully formed live outfit recruiting a new rhythm section that features Ryan Rogers (bass/synths) and Jonny Parry (drums/percussion).
