Scarlet kicked off the new year by playing in front of 20,000 people at Tbisili Open Air festival (Georgia) along side Steve Vai and released their debut crowd funded album ‘Effigy’ in Japan and the UK.
The band secured a licensing deal for the album in Japan with Vinyl Junkie Records (blossoms, swim deep, the wombats) 

Scarlet were recently featured by Alt Press in their ’20 rising u.k. bands about to take over the scene’ article, alongside The Amazons, Honeyblood and Milk Teeth. 

The band have secured support slots for 80s mega group ’T’pau’ at Norwich Water Front, London’s Islington Assembly Hall, Brighton’s Concorde 2 and Shrewsbury’s Butter Market.

Scarlet was one of 16 bands that played for Dr Martens as part of their ‘Play Different’ run of shows.

Scarlet have been supported by Vauxhall on their UK tours, by being given a brand new Vauxhall Vivaro van.

Scarlet have supported Bob Geldof and the Boomtown Rats, Neon Waltz, Pulled Apart By Horses, Swervedriver, Black Honey, Wolf Alice, Coquin Migale, Kagoule, The Struts, secured slots playing DIY’s ‘breaking out’ night at Liverpool music week festival, and played the huge festivals, Secret Garden Party, Tramlines, Sound City, Hop Farm Festival, ‘We Luv Festival’ (Aintree racecourse alongside acts such as UB40, Scouting For Girls, Example and many more) amongst many others, and have been featured in magazines such as Qmagazine, Alternative Press and The Skinny

They have worked with producers Jon Withnall, (Coldplay’s Parachutes, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, and X&Y) Michael Johnson (Joy Division, Pink Floyd, New Order, Stone Roses) and Al Groves (Bring Me The Horizon, CAST) on their debut album ‘Effigy’. 

Scarlet secured ongoing support from Marshall Amplifiers who chose their demo 'Heavy' to be a part of their Richer Unsigned 'Best unsigned bands' playlist, which meant the song was played in every Richer Sounds music store up and down the country for a month and featured in Q Magazine!

The band won two competitions, one of which, was to work with crowd funding specialists ‘Pledge Music’ and ‘Juxdit’ in association with Liverpool Sound City festival, to create a Pledge Music campaign to fund the release of their album and secured themselves a slot playing the delegates conference at Liverpool Sound City festival.

They hit the 50% mark on their pledge music campaign just 6 days into the 60 day campaign and successfully reached their target of £6,000 and unlocked the money to make their debut album ‘Effigy’  http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/scarletsdebutalbum

‘Anyway’, the lead single from the album, was included in BBC Radio 6’s ‘Fresh Faves’ Batch 146  http://freshonthenet.co.uk/2015/03/faves146/

Scarlet are currently touring the UK and writing and recording new material
music scene fanatics, as well as branching out and gaining support from BBCintroducing, BBC Radio 6, and other bands further afield.

The band have also received direct endorsements for their music from Guy Garvey (Elbow) and support from The Vaccines and Sir Bob Geldof
