In the past 16 years, Richard Batty has come a long way from gigging with various bands, to writing and performing his songs as a solo-performer and busking in the streets to having a residency at established venues such as The Cavern Club, gaining fans from around the world.

Over the years, Richard has supported artists such as The Feeling, Peter Coyle(Lotus Eaters) and Bruce Foxton of The Jam, whilst also being invited up on stage by Liverpool singer/songwriter Ian McNabb(The Icicle Works) to perform a song at a Christmas show back in December 2002.

More recently, Richard has performed at Threshold Festival, The Liverpool Acoustic Festival, IPO(International Pop Overthrow) 'Above The Beaten Track Festival', Liverpool Royal Court, Liverpool Philamonic Hall, supported Paul Weller's touring band' The Songbook Collective, The Blockheads, Big Country, Martin Stephenson,The Cavern Club Beatles, Heather Peace and Geno Washington.

Richard has also featured on Radio Merseyside on the Billy Butler, Dave Monks and Jenny Lee-Summers shows.

His songs are influenced by a wide range of music, some of his favourites being The Beatles, Big Star, Buffalo Springfield, and Television.

After focusing on his songwriting craft and recording demos on his own, he went between May and December 2014 to Whitewood Studios, Liverpool, to record his debut release, Loaded Gun EP, mastered at Abbey Road Studios, London.

The record was released in June 2015, and is available on CD and digitally on his website www.richardbattymusic.com.

Loaded Gun EP, received much praise from his fans and has been featured on BBC Introducing Merseyside by Dave Monks.

Richard has a full band in place, and is currently working on the follow up EP to Loaded Gun, due for release later this year.
