Jack Valero has kickstarted a big year ahead with his new single ‘Pull Back The Hammer’ released on 31/05. It represents the first song to be taken from his debut EP which will follow later this summer. The track is also his first release under a new deal with Modern Sky, where he joins a burgeoning roster which includes The Lottery Winners, Jamie Webster, The Slow Readers Club and Red Rum Club.
Having already played SXSW in Austin, Jack Valero will be playing a string of dates and festivals across the UK in the upcoming months, including Glastonbury Festival and Kendal Calling. His conversational lyricism, understated wit alongside spirited Americana/rock instrumentation and a knack for timeless British pop songwriting caught the attention of new music champions, earning airplay from John Kennedy at Radio X, Amazing Radio and Chris Hawkins at 6 Music being moved to say "This is so good. SO good...What a beautiful thing".
