GIGS & GRAPHICS IS A COLLABORATION BETWEEN NORTHERN LIGHTS, SOUND CITY,
TOUCAN TANGO AND THE PAPER MOON PRINT STUDIO, AS WELL AS ARTISTS AND
MUSICIANS – BOTH LOCAL AND FROM AROUND THE WORLD. WE HAVE PROGRAMMED
THREE COMPONENTS TO ENGAGE ALL OF US WHO LOVE ART AND MUSIC!
GIGS & GRAPHICS INTERNATIONAL GIG POSTER EXHIBITION
For the Gigs & Graphics International Gig Poster Exhibition we have invited internationally renowned poster
artists to submit work that they have produced for musicians, festivals and gigs. The uptake is remarkable,
and we are extremely proud to display these works in Liverpool.
GIGS & GRAPHICS 5 OUT OF 5
For the 5 out of 5 Project and Exhibition we aim to commission 5 emerging and established visual artists to
design a limited edition gig poster. Each visual artist will be paired with one act from Sound City 2019
line-up. These 5 limited edition prints will be displayed at Gigs & Graphics from 3rd May to 6th May
alongside the International Print exhibition.
GIGS & GRAPHICS AT SOUND CITY+
We are curating a Gigs & Graphics space at Sound City+, focused on the interplay between art, design, print,
photography, video and the music industry. We invite musicians and artists who successfully inhabit the
intersection of art and music to contribute to our space, so we hope to generate an exciting exchange of
ideas and opportunities for future work and collaborations!
GIGS & GRAPHICS ACTIVITIES
During the exhibition we put on entertainment and activities.
These include DJ sets, record fair, micro gigs, live screen printing and surprises!
