Pitched between infectiously melancholic indie-pop and angular, post-punk inflected stomps, Foundlings is: Amber Price, Bryan Ong, Matthew Sykes and Oliver Wareham. The band’s first single ‘Misery’ was championed by Steve Lamacq on his BBC 6 Music show and selected for the BBC 6 Introducing Playlist by Tom Robinson. Lamacq described the band’s sound as, “breathless indie-pop.” Following the success of their early singles, Foundlings signed to Scottish based label Last Night From Glasgow and began work on their debut EP. Released on the 1st March 2019, the record displays Foundlings’ ability to deftly shift between styles whilst creating a distinctive, ambitious sound all of their own.
