Cosmo Calling met on the first day of University at the RNCM after frontman Harry Preen met Darragh Burke, Tom Chapman and Gabriel Alexander at a gig and a great friendship formed. Feeling disheartened by the representation of male & female fronted bands in the UK, then came along vocal powerhouse Phoebe Taylor and the five quickly began dominating Manchester’s live music scene. With groove and lyrical witticisms comparable to Talking Heads and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cosmo Calling have taken their monstrous and engaging live show across the country picking up new fans at every show they play. BBC Introducing described their sellout show at Manchesters Deaf Institute as ‘simply amazing’. Having released their debut EP ‘Cry Baby, Cry’ in October this year to airplay from BBC Introducing Stoke and Chris Hawkins at 6 Music citing the band as "the next big thing". Cosmo Calling have also just released their new single Rita, receiving ‘New Music Friday’ and ‘All New All Now’ play-listing from Spotify and BBC Introducing’s ‘Track of the Week’.
