Sound City 2021 in October!

The Sound City 2021 showcase festival and conference will now take place on October 1 – 3.

The date move comes following the UK Government’s roadmap out of lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, with June 21 having been set as the earliest possible date when all legal limits on social contact will be removed.
Tickets are on sale for the celebratory weekend now with all previously purchased tickets being valid for these new dates.

We’re also excited to reveal the first wave of artists to play Sound City 2021. They are: Rejjie Snow, Red Rum Club, The Snuts, The Lathums, The Mysterines, The Murder Capital, Lanterns On The Lake, Abbie Ozard, Brooke Combe, Hello Delaware, Miss Tati and Isabel Neib.

A third headliner and many more acts will be added to the bill in the coming months.

Continuing a long-standing relationship, Sound City is once again the UK’s lead festival partner for Keychange, the global movement focused on the restructuring of the music industry to achieve gender equality. A focus that will be shown across the full Sound City line-up with many more names to be revealed in the months ahead and through a range of initiatives, panels and more.

Sound City is committed to championing gender equality across all of its musical projects including Sound City Korea, Ipswich and new streaming platform Guesthouse.

Sound City MD Becky Ayres said: “I can’t believe that it’s been nearly two years since the last time we came together at Sound City, and the anticipation to get back to showcasing the best in new music has never been greater. Enjoying amazing new artists in incredible venues is what makes Sound City great, and we’re excited to bring together genre-pushing favourites, thrilling live bands and must-see moments this October. With many more names to be announced, including a special third headliner, finally welcoming everyone back to Sound City is going to be a very special moment. We can’t wait.”
