We are over the moon to announce that Arts Council England have recognised the cultural and community impact that we have had on the city in recent years, and have extended our funding up until 2026! 🎉🕺
More than a festival, this funding will enable Sound City to continue changing lives across the North West through music, whether that's through our extensive artist development programmes, or our training initiatives that have inspired and opened doors into the music industry for hundreds of young people from so many different backgrounds.
We cannot wait to continue our mission to support the next wave of local creatives through our Launch, Artist Training & Rip It Up programmes, as well as offering educational music hubs across the region to inspire the next generation to take their first steps towards a career in music.
This funding will allow us to continue to run and expand these community programmes and, of course, continue to host the best independent festival and conference for new music in the UK!! 👏👏
