Since he began making music at the age of 16, singer/songwriter Jay Alexzander has been merging the sounds of commercial R’n’B with neo-soul to create his own unique sound. His imaginative song writing style has been admired by the likes of Grammy Award- winning artist Billie Ocean.

During the early stages of his career Jay performed at Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho and has since been seen performing across London, Liverpool and other UK cities – sharing stages with the likes of Shakka and Jacob Banks. He performed at the 2012 MOBO Awards in Liverpool and has been on tour as a backing vocalist with Esco Williams, Josh Barry (Glastonbury Festival 2017) & Ady Suleiman, as well as providing support for Ady. He also opened up for Yolanda Brown at Jazz Café, Snarky Puppy in Liverpool. Jay was also a part of the 2017 MOBO Unsung Tour, as he was a finalist for the MOBO Unsung competition in both 2014 & 2016.

In 2013 Jay released his ‘Two Can Play That Game’ mixtape followed by his ‘Covered It Up’ project in 2015. 2016 brought the release of his debut EP ‘The Prologue’ and in 2017, Jay released a collection of unreleased songs as a mixtape entitled ‘Unreleased 1016’ and rounded off the year with the release of a single ‘F.W.U’.
